The new year is almost here and what have I learned ? The internet is a important tool for marketing your music but you still need action in the real world,Turn it up a little, thats my plan for 2010,make a few connections and put the show on the road, put a band together, time to meet up with some solid musicians

Dose it really Matter ?

Some creative people claim they wore born with the gift and others had to work real hard to put it all together, the common ground is both have to work hard to polish there skills
The only thing that really matters is a commitment to your art form.

Time for 2010!

As this year slowly comes to a end, it is important for me to start mapping out my next move for 2010, still looking for band members and I still need more video for the web

How ever since I am a acoustic musician I can hold off on the band and start playing solo, that is one of the good thing about that,Got to play on some type of tour even if its only one day out the month, bottom line is you can only do so much on the internet, need to buy a good pa system and then I can get the show on the road

Song writing and time management

One must view song writing as a everyday mission, time must be set aside to write a song and you should be careful about writing the same song over and over, it is important to explore new subjects, The amount of time one has to write a song may vary depending on your needs if your holding down a full time job and trying break into the music industry then the time you do set aside for writing could be a few hours after work or before, but you never know when the song will come, that is why it is good to keep a pad and pen close to you at all times, There are love songs and songs that make you think, party songs and songs that address problems that the world faces, Sometime it is important to change your whole style of writing, the bottom line is this you never have enough songs in the song bank there is always room for one more!

Just Need My Acoustic

I think it is time to move into a new direction for 2010, I think now I will just focus on acoustic song writing and say good by to the band format maybe that is what I am suppose to do anyway! the challenge will be to take all of currently released songs and converting them to acoustic format, that will be exciting.Ill probuly use a version of the 12 bar blues pattern, of course slightly changed to fit my needs. When I think about it I can get up and running a lot quicker as a solo guitarist then trying put a band together. I am ready to hit the stage and hit it hard, with the indie music frame of mind, got more then enough music, all I need now is to make few upgrades in gear, I like my acoustic guitar ant no need

100 tracks by 12-31-09

My personal goal is to have 100 tracks on the net by 12-31-09, I know people wonder why I need to put so many up ? I just feel like I need to make up for lost time when I should have been gaining ground and not getting mixed up in adventures that lead to know were. You cant cry over spilled milk, but u can do something about it, got 54 tracks up already, time to mix it up even more.
