I grew up on the South side of Indianapolis, it was the year I was in the 7th grade when me and the Neighborhood kids got a band together call the star light of soul we did one concert together, I knew then that music would be the woman calling me every day with same demand, “COME CREATE ME” It was
around
2001 when I started putting music on cassette and one of my co workers said “Hey Mike! they can make homemade CDs now” at first people wore not excited about my music at the warehouse were I was working when I was living in Maryland, I started sailing my music out the trunk of my car, my first cd Simply Mike V, got mix street credit what would happen is I might let one person listen to it and they didn’t like it but there relative or friend would, my second Cd was called V sign and on that CD I experimented with key boards and other instruments, my 3rd CD the volume 1 consist of 22 songs and reverted back to the basics drums bass and Guitar. I moved to Atlanta Georgia around 2005, went into a complete non creative mode for awhile .I had got rid of all my equipment but I couldn’t let it go ! In the spring of 2007 to the spring of 2008 I started playing my music at Grant Park I got the Ideal from the song House Rent Boogie by John Lee Hooker, So I guess I assumed the role of a street musician for the purpose of reconnecting with my creative center and this adventure caused me to start composing with the acoustic Guitar. I guess my style is alternative fusion, blues ,funk rock, jazz county blues and what ever I decide to compose. U can find my music at Napster
